heated water in a tank for use whenever the tap is turned on. Its fuel source
can be electricity, natural gas, oil, or propane.

used, energy is wasted. The tankless water heater, also called a demand water
heater, heats water only when it is called for. Depending on usage, this style
can be anywhere from eight to 50 percent more efficient that the conventional,
storage water heater. The downside can be limited output, so if your household
is large, someone may end up with a cold shower. Installing multiple heaters
can solve this problem or you may have to opt for the conventional storage
water heater.
